Interview with Rat Doto's captain, Joshkent!

Another Canberra team who had just recently formed will test their mettle at the tournament.  How will they fare?  They're not even sure, but one thing is for sure, they're very approachable people.  So be sure to say a few hello's and if you're a CS Fan boy, get some autographs with a true programer.

We asked joshkent aka Joshua some questions, and he was certainly happy to answer.

Hey joshKent, mind introducing yourself to the Canberra DOTA2 scene?
I'm Josh and I'm pretty familiar to LANs and the like as I played CS:S a few years back when I was in high school (most notably frenetic-array). I moved here in 2012 for work and am keen to play some LANs again :)

Are you able to introduce your team mates as well and their roles in the team?
Firstly you'll see me in the offlane trying my best not to feed, veerdarm in the mid making awful jokes and reminding you that he knows about IT, Detendu and Dazza_unit as our 4th and 5th positions and playing the role of enemy foods and Lukusss as the 60 minute AFK farmer with a BKB and some tangos.

Rat Doto, making a comeback

How long have you played together with your current team?
Dazza Luke and I have been playing together since 2012 and the other two jumped on board within the last couple of months.

We would assume that this is your first tournament on LAN as a team??
Yes it is, and I hope everyone can go easy on us :) And if not, well then we're too socially awkward to tell you otherwise.

What would you like to achieve from participating from this tournament?
Hopefully we can make some friends in Canberra to play with. I doubt we'll place in the upper echelons because we all work full time and play mostly for fun!

You’ve already made headlines on /r/dota2 by posing with Fnatic.H4nn1, what was that like and how was the man himself?
Yeah we were playing at Sky netcafe the other week and some guy that looked like H4NN1 walked in with a fnatic jumper on, so we approached him and grabbed a photo! He was pretty reserved but he was with a girl and wanted to play some dota! It was great to watch him play though, mother of god he's good.

Speaking of international superstars, did you know a current teammate of yours is a former CS progamer and has travelled overseas twice to represent Australia?
Yeah veernarM (John) played for iCHOR in 1.6 back in the early 2000s and has since transferred to feeding in dota.

Back to our own local scene, is there any teams that you’re familiar with and respect?
We have no idea about many teams, and I don't like doing too much research so that I don't get it into my head that they can beat me before I play. It's best to just play your own game and make some surprises :)

If expectations fall short, will we see you in future Canberra DOTA2 tournaments?
Many of us are moving for work commitments at the end of the year so I hope there will be more opportunities this year!

Joshkent, thank you for your time, is there anything further that you’d like to add?
I'm open to anyone introducing themselves, I'll probably be wearing a brewmaster hoodie :), thanks for the interview Freddie!
